bronte edwidge michael pepper araminta september iuliet (yoo-lee-ette; I met an eastern european girl with this name and was enchanted) amaya (it means night rain, which wins me over alone, but I have absolutely no japanese ancestry and am not going to pretend that I can use this name)
sending out a save the date an engagement party a bridal shower the dress a reception I am still indecisive about a bouquet/flowers tbh dancing at the non-reception I’ll have I hate dancing why do I need to dance oh that’s right, I don’t the garter toss is endlessly dumb making the bridesmaids match, who cares I don’t know if I’ll even have bridesmaids lbr
what I do care about
the promises I am making with my husband (seriously, no other part of it truly matters to me, the rest is just fluff) that, and celebrating with family and…really. good. food. no less than three times
what is actually going to happen
a rehearsal dinner the night before with v. close friends + family the actual ceremony the next morning a brunch with just immediate family! yum! then! instead of a reception, I want a backyard bbq, and instead of a cake, a dessert bar that people are assigned to contribute to! yum! and so simple!
and oddly enough, I didn’t care about wedding pictures at all (blasphemous blasphemous) until I saw the work of this guy and how incredibly talented he is at capturing non-fabricated moments, at including everything from the food on plates to special exchanges between the guests themselves (which I find a lot of wedding photographers lack~ you want to remember the people at your wedding as much as pictures of you and your man (at least I do)) so that is incredibly important to me, and apparently to this guy as well
